Update: The Government of India has extended the dates to use OLD Rs 500/ Rs 1000 Note in Govt Hospital/ Petrol Pump/ Milk Dairy/ ASI Ticket/ Train Ticket at Railway Station/ Air Ticket till 14th Nov 2016. The Toll are also free till 14th Nov 2016.
After the ban on currency notes of denomination 500 and 1000, Government of India allowed the usage of old 500 and 1000 notes on Petrol Pumps, Govt. Hospitals, Medical Shops (Govt. Hospital), Railway Ticket Booking Counters, Bus Ticket Booking etc. till 11-11-2016 (11 November 2016 – FRIDAY). but what After the 11 Nov 2016 ? You can go to this bank and get your 500 and 1000 old notes monetize legally. You can exchange your currency up to 30 December 2016 from the above-mentioned banks and after that you have to go to RBI Centers for exchanging the old 500 and 1000 currency notes till 31st March 2017.
